What are end panels for sideboards?
An end panel for sideboards is the visible, floor-standing side panel on the sideboard. It is supplied including a panel shoe and closes off the furniture construction at the side from the floor up to the top edge of the carcass. Installed in the same front finish as the sideboard, the panel designs the furniture side as a closed design surface and structures the sideboard within the kitchen or living-room plan.
The panel shoe is included in the scope of delivery and finishes the panel flush at the floor. As standard, it is supplied in 014 stainless steel look, alternatively available to order in 010 black. The panel itself is 37.2 cm deep and is therefore matched to the standard carcass depth of sideboards.
Dimensions of the end panel
The end panel for sideboards is 37.2 cm deep and therefore fits sideboards in standard depth as well as wall units in sideboard design. 1 cm and 1.6 cm create a light appearance, while 2.5 cm and 5 cm create a visible side frame.
The base height of the panel is 86.4 cm. The total height depends on your kitchen’s plinth height and results from base height plus plinth height.

Panels for sideboards in 1.6 cm thickness are available in matte, lacquer laminate, ultra high-gloss lacquer, matte lacquer, Perfect matte lacquer, high-gloss lacquer, and Xtra decors. Panels in 2.5 cm and 5 cm are available in matte, high gloss, and Xtra decors. Panels in 1 cm are available in matte, lacquer laminate, matte lacquer, high-gloss lacquer, and Xtra decors.

Nobilia quality for sideboard panels
Sideboard panels meet the same quality standards as all Nobilia cabinets and are manufactured in the German plants in Verl and Saarlouis. Furniture is tested over a simulated usage period of 15 years before going into series production. The materials used carry the F-Four-Star emission class and the CARB2 certificate for low formaldehyde levels.
In addition, there is the RAL quality mark Goldenes M as the strictest German furniture quality standard and the GS seal from TÜV Rheinland for tested product safety. We provide a five-year manufacturer’s warranty on all sideboard panels.
Sustainability at Nobilia
Nobilia produces in a climate-neutral way and sources 90 percent of the wood used from regional forests in Germany. Procurement follows the PEFC standard, which certifies sustainable forestry and traceability of the wood’s origin.
Residual materials from furniture production are consistently returned to the material cycle – offcuts are processed into new chipboards or used to generate energy. These standards also apply to sideboard panels.
