Why replace plinth parts?
The plinth area is one of the most heavily used parts of your kitchen. Vacuum cleaners, moisture, pets, or everyday knocks can quickly cause visible damage. If individual elements become loose or suffer visually, it’s time for a replacement – quick, affordable, and without major renovation.
Signs that replacement is necessary
Plinth panel broken, warped, or swollen
Clips no longer hold and the plinth comes loose
Moisture damage to the decor
New appliances require ventilation in the plinth
Visual adjustment to new fronts or new flooring
Advantage: You replace only the affected part – not the entire kitchen.

This lets you quickly find a plinth panel for repeat purchase that exactly matches your existing Nobilia kitchen in height, color, and surface, making the plinth area look closed and well-kept again.
Plinth returns
Plinth returns – also called side plinths – are used wherever the side of a kitchen run, island, or highboard remains visible. They provide a neat side finish to the plinth and ensure that the kitchen looks like one cohesive unit even from the side.
Properties at a glance
Delivery height with +28 mm allowance – unevenness in the floor can be compensated neatly
Available in the same decors as the front plinth panels
Ideal as a side finish for base cabinets, tall cabinets, sideboards, and islands
With the right Nobilia plinth return, you avoid open edges and achieve a calm, high-quality side view of your kitchen. Terms such as side plinth, plinth return, or side plinth panel all describe the same component.
Floor sealing profiles
Floor sealing profiles ensure that no water, dust, or dirt gets under the plinth. At the same time, they improve the appearance because the transition between plinth and floor looks even.
Advantages at a glance
Flexible profile that compensates for floor unevenness of up to 2 mm
For greater height differences, the SB profile (item no. 4863) is available
Ideal for tiles, laminate, vinyl, or uneven old floors
A floor sealing profile is especially useful for moisture-sensitive plinth panels and helps ensure a longer service life for your Nobilia kitchen.
Plinth feet & adapters
Plinth feet are crucial for the stability of your kitchen. They support the entire weight of the cabinets, compensate for floor unevenness, and ensure that fronts and worktop are perfectly level. In older kitchens or after exposure to moisture, plinth feet may be damaged or become loose – replacing them quickly restores the kitchen’s shape.
Features & benefits
Standard heights: 7, 10, 15, and 20 cm
Adjustment range: –1 cm to +2 cm for height compensation
Load capacity: up to 200 kg per cabinet (4 feet)
Independently adjustable feet for perfect leveling on tiles, laminate, or uneven old building floors
SOFA adapter: enables additional intermediate heights of +1 cm or +2 cm, ideal for renovations
With new plinth feet and suitable adapters, you ensure that your kitchen stands firmly again, doors close properly, and all lines run perfectly. Ideal for repeat purchase, replacement, or modernization of your existing Nobilia kitchen.
Vario plinth system
The Nobilia Vario plinth system ensures that plinth panels sit securely, are easy to remove, and can be adapted to any floor. The following elements work together as a system and are particularly relevant for repeat purchases or replacement of defective parts.
1. Sliding adapter
The sliding adapter is plugged and screwed under the cabinet base. It forms the stable foundation for all further components such as sleeves and latching elements.
2. Sleeves
The sleeve is inserted into the sliding adapter and determines the final plinth height. Each plinth height requires the matching sleeve.
Available variants:
Sleeves for all plinth heights (7/10/15/20 cm)
Sleeve for cooker conversion HU (type 315) – special version for cooker areas
Sleeve for carousel and diagonal carousel cabinets – with lowered base
3. Latching element
The latching element is clipped into the sliding adapter and holds the plinth panel securely in place. At the same time, it allows easy removal – ideal for cleaning, repairs, or appliance replacement.
4. Side clips – for plinth returns
Side clips connect the plinth return (side plinth) to the plinth foot. The version with self-adhesive tape can be installed especially quickly and is used on visible sides.
How good is the quality?
Are you wondering how sturdy the pull-outs are, why the doors close quietly and how durable the fronts are? We'll explain how to recognise Nobilia quality.

90° & 135° plinth corner profiles
Plinth corner profiles connect the plinth panel and plinth return cleanly and securely at external corners. They prevent visible joints and open edges and ensure that the plinth looks continuous – especially important for L-shaped kitchens, U-shaped kitchens, or freestanding island backs.
To close the gap between plinth foot and panel so it is not see-through, two complete sets are available:
90° plinth corner profile set (item no. 4864)
For classic right external corners
Set contents:
3 plinth corner profiles
2 connecting profiles
Screws for secure installation
135° plinth corner profile set (item no. 4866)
For beveled external corners or extended kitchen shapes.
Set contents:
2 inner corner profiles
2 outer corner profiles
Screws for precise fastening
These corner profile sets ensure that your Nobilia plinth has a clean finish all around – ideal if existing corners are damaged or new corner connections are created during a kitchen remodel.
Anti-tip devices
Anti-tip devices prevent freestanding base cabinets, island modules, or tall furniture from tipping forward. They are an important safety component – especially in households with children, pets, or frequently used storage areas.
When is an anti-tip device required?
For island kitchens and freestanding cabinet elements
For tall cabinets that are not positioned directly against the wall
From a width of 180 cm, two additional securing elements are recommended for stability reasons
Whenever opening pull-outs can create a tipping moment
Installation & properties
Fastening only to load-bearing walls
Easy retrofitting possible
Increases the safety of the entire kitchen block
Recommended for repeat purchase, remodeling, or cabinet replacement
With an anti-tip device, you ensure that your kitchen remains stable and durable – a small component with a big effect on everyday safety and longevity.cm
Fitting bag for downdraft extractors
The fitting bag for downdraft extractors ensures that the air ducts of a cooktop extractor are routed correctly and safely in the plinth area.
When is the BB-ML fitting bag needed?
For plinth heights below 12 cm
When the duct routing runs through the plinth area
Waterproof plinth panels
Waterproof plinth panels reliably protect the lower kitchen area from moisture, splashes, and frequent floor cleaning. They are especially recommended for areas around the sink, dishwasher, or anywhere the plinth regularly comes into contact with water.
Advantages of waterproof plinth panels
High resistance to moisture and wetness
Perfect for heavily used areas
Durable and easy to care for
Suitable for all Nobilia base cabinets and kitchen runs
Available decors: 058 Black, 049 Mirror Decor, 114 Stainless Steel Look

Aluminium louvre plinth
The aluminium louvre plinth combines a modern look with functional plinth ventilation. The open slats allow air to flow in and out reliably – an important advantage when cooktop extractors (downdraft extractors) or appliances route air through the plinth area.
