How do I find the right Nobilia handle?
You can find the right Nobilia handle by checking three key features: handle number, hole spacing, and drill pattern. If you have the handle number – for example 042, 069, or 183 – you can reorder the model 1:1.
If you don’t have any documents, the next step is to measure the hole spacing between the screws. Typical Nobilia measurements are 128 mm, 160 mm, 192 mm, or 320 mm for wide bow handles. Important: always measure center to center.
Finally, determine the drill pattern, meaning the position of the screw holes. Depending on the front range, a specific drill pattern is used – for example horizontal (01), vertical (02), centered (18), or as a handle rail (19). If the hole spacing and drill pattern match, you can replace the desired handle without any problems.

Handles by color and type
Nobilia handles are generally made of metal. Depending on the model, the surface is finished, for example, in stainless steel look, black, titanium look, glossy chrome, gold-colored, or old iron look. Wooden handles and wooden handle rails are made of real wood; slight color variations are normal here due to the material.
Stainless steel-look handles
Stainless steel-look Nobilia handles are among the most popular and versatile options because they match almost all front colors and kitchen styles. The models are made of robust metal, are durable in everyday use, and offer a modern, clean-lined design. Thanks to different drill patterns and hole spacings, you can find the exact replacement handle for any existing Nobilia kitchen – ideal for a harmonious, uniform appearance without color or shape deviations.

Drill patterns
In Nobilia kitchens, drill patterns determine the exact position and alignment of a handle – and are therefore crucial when reordering handles. Each drill pattern describes where the drill holes are located and how the handle is mounted on the front. This ensures that new handles match the existing handle position exactly, without any additional drilling.

Why reorder Nobilia handles?
Original Nobilia handles offer the major advantage that, thanks to the matching drill patterns, they fit your existing fronts exactly. The handle height and handle position remain identical, so your front appearance stays consistent – without differences in color or shape. The high-quality metal ensures durability in everyday use, and all models are fully compatible with Nobilia front series such as Touch, Easytouch, Laser, Riva, Sylt, and many more. This gives your kitchen a seamless, permanently high-quality look.
What is the difference between drill pattern 17 and Line N?
The most important difference: drill pattern 17 describes a handle rail in the front, while Line N is a handle profile on the cabinet body. Both create a handleless look, but they are technically completely different.
Drill pattern 17 – handle rail routed into the front
With drill pattern 17, the handle rail is milled directly into the front.
the handle groove is located in the door/front edge
the handle rail is part of the respective front
it is mounted on the front like a normal handle and replaced together with the front
Line N – handle profile on the cabinet body
Line N is a continuous handle profile that is attached to the cabinet body – not to the front.
under the worktop as an L-profile
between pull-outs as a U-profile
Fronts do not have a handle groove; instead they are gripped at the top/bottom on the profile.
Conclusion
Drill pattern 17 stands for a handle rail milled into the front, while Line N uses a handle profile attached to the cabinet body. Both create a handleless appearance, but clearly differ in technology and installation.
What should be considered with drill pattern 18?
Suitable for ranges
Cascada 684, Easytouch 945, Flash 648, Focus 312, Frame 419, Inox 808, Laser 615, Look 099, Natura 157, Nordic 497, Novalux 115, Riva 371, Senso 357, Softline 187, StoneArt 566, Structura 382, Sylt 706, Touch 317.
Hole spacing assignment
Hole spacing: 160 mm is suitable for drawers, pull-outs, doors & flaps 30 cm - 45 cm wide.
Hole spacing: 320 mm is suitable for drawers, pull-outs, doors, flaps, and folding lift doors 50 cm to 120 cm wide.
Hole spacing: 192, 217, 217, 192 mm are suitable for drawers, pull-outs, flaps, and folding lift doors 100 cm wide.
Hole spacing: 256, 253, 253, 256 mm are suitable for drawers, pull-outs, flaps, and folding lift doors 120 cm wide.
Note
Doors with drill pattern 18 should have at least 50 mm clearance from the wall. This ensures that the hinges with a 110° opening angle can open without problems.

What is the difference between drill patterns 18, 01 & 02
The difference between the drill patterns lies in the height and orientation at which the handle is mounted on the front. This changes the look of the kitchen, so it is important to choose the right drill pattern when reordering.
Drill pattern 18 – center/center
The handle sits closer to the top edge of the front.
Distance from the top edge: approx. 35 mm
Looks modern and is often used in clean, linear kitchens.
Drill pattern 01 – horizontal/horizontal
The handle is positioned lower on the front.
Distance from the top edge: approx. 55 mm
Classic handle height for many Nobilia ranges.
Drill pattern 02 – horizontal/vertical
Same handle height as drill pattern 01, but intended for vertically mounted handles.
Distance from the top edge: approx. 55 mm
Mainly used on tall cabinet fronts.
Conclusion
The correct drill pattern ensures that handles fit exactly with the existing holes and the continuous line design of your Nobilia kitchen.
