Nobilia support angle for panels

A support angle is a connecting component that structurally secures a panel at the end of a dishwasher run. It creates a fixed connection between the panel and the worktop, because a freestanding dishwasher does not provide a cabinet carcass construction to which the panel could be attached.

For 1 cm thick panels next to the dishwasher, the WSTW support angle is structurally required. For 1.6 cm thick panels, Nobilia also recommends its use. The support angle is ordered separately from the panel.

When is the support angle for panels mandatory?

If the kitchen run ends with a fully integrated dishwasher and a 1 cm thick panel forms the side finish of the run, the support angle is required.

When is the support angle recommended?

For a 1.6 cm thick panel next to a dishwasher, Nobilia recommends the WSTW support angle for additional stabilization. Unlike 1 cm thick panels, it is not automatically included here, but must be actively ordered as well. The WSTW is also a sensible additional support for 2.5 cm and 5 cm thick end panels next to a dishwasher and is ordered separately.

Which Nobilia panels the support angle is compatible with

The WSTW support angle works with all panel variants for base units as soon as a dishwasher is positioned at the end of the run. Specifically, this applies to the end panel UWA, the end panel for projecting solutions UWAV, the room-planning panel UWR and UWRL, and the LINE N end panel NUWA. The XL variants and Maxi variants of these panels are also compatible, as are the LINE N variants with a depth of 59.8 cm. The deciding factor for using the WSTW is not the panel type, but the panel thickness and the position of the dishwasher in the run.

Installation and planning notes

Installation is carried out on site as part of the panel installation. The support angle sits between the panel and the adjacent component and absorbs mechanical load that would otherwise rest solely on the panel at the end of the run.

Advisor tip

If you are planning a kitchen run with a dishwasher at the end, clarify three points before ordering. First, the panel thickness: 1 cm and 1.6 cm or 2.5 cm and 5 cm. Second, the panel height: standard, XL, or Maxi. Third, the panel type: end panel, room-planning panel, or LINE N.

Frequently asked questions about support angles
