Nobilia cooktop base cabinet
Cooktop base cabinets are the matching Nobilia base cabinets for autonomous cooktops. You plan storage directly beneath the cooktop, depending on your needs with pull-outs, a drawer, or a hinged door. To ensure the cabinet fits neatly into your kitchen run, choose the right cabinet width and carcass height here.
Now filter by width and height and find the right model.
Set filters & find a cooktop base cabinet!
Configure your Nobilia cooktop base cabinet to match your cooktop and kitchen plan. Start with the filters for carcass height and cabinet width, so you immediately see only the cabinets that fit into your kitchen run. Then choose the features that suit your daily routine: hinged door, drawer, or pull-outs for quick access to pots and cooking accessories. This way, you’ll find the cooktop base cabinet that truly fits.
Filter cooktop base cabinets by height
First choose the carcass height: 72 cm Standard, 79.2 cm XL or 86.4 cm Maxi, each measured without the plinth. Then adjust the final working height using the plinth height and worktop thickness. This keeps the front line harmonious and lets you plan ergonomically without compromising on storage space.
Filter cooktop base cabinets by width
Then choose the cabinet width: 60 cm, 80 cm, 90 cm, 100 cm or 120 cm to match your cooktop. After that, narrow down the selection further by features. This ensures the cooktop sits neatly in the worktop and helps you quickly find the cooktop base cabinet that truly fits.
Why is the appliance model number important?
To ensure your cooktop base cabinet and cooktop fit together safely, we ask for the appliance model number when you order. That’s because cut-out dimensions, installation type, fastening and the required air circulation differ depending on the cooktop. With the exact model designation, we can check the fit before production.
If an adjustment is necessary, we implement it directly in the configuration. And if something is not compatible, you will receive clear feedback from us with a suitable solution.
Cooktop base cabinet with pull-out and drawer
A Nobilia cooktop base cabinet with drawer and pull-outs uses the space under the cooktop especially efficiently. Store pots & pans neatly in the pull-outs. The upper drawer keeps cooking utensils like wooden spoons and whisks within easy reach.
Planning example: The KS2A60 is 60 cm wide and fits many standard cooktops. With a 72 cm carcass, 10 cm plinth and 3.8 cm worktop, this results in a working height of 85.8 cm.
Dimensions
Height: 72 cm ▪ 79.2 cm ▪ 86.4 cm
Width: 60 cm ▪ 80 cm ▪ 90 cm ▪ 100 cm ▪ 120 cm

Combine a cooktop base cabinet with a worktop
It’s best to plan the cooktop base cabinet directly with a matching Nobilia worktop. That way, depth & appearance match. With a cabinet depth of 56.1 cm, the worktop overhang sits neatly and the front line looks continuous.
You can specify the cooktop cut-out directly when ordering. The position is selected so that the required minimum distances from the front edge and sides are maintained. The cut edges are then sealed so that no moisture can penetrate and the construction remains permanently protected.
Important for cooktops above drawers and pull-outs: Always check the drawer height against the installation height of the cooktop so that there are no collisions inside the cabinet.
Cooktop base cabinet & oven housing unit
The difference lies in the appliance planning. A cooktop base cabinet is the right base cabinet for an autonomous cooktop. The cooktop sits at the top, and below that you use the space as storage with shelf, drawers or pull-outs.
An oven housing cabinet is intended for a built-in oven under the worktop. The oven sits in a fixed appliance niche, and the cabinet is typically 60 cm wide. Depending on the version, there may also be a drawer below it, for example for baking trays or accessories.
Difference between a cooktop base cabinet and downdraft cooktop cabinets
A cooktop base cabinet is suitable for classic cooktops when the steam is extracted via a wall hood or a hood integrated into the wall cabinet. In that case, the storage space below the cooktop remains fully usable.
In a downdraft cooktop cabinet, the steam is extracted downward. For this, the motor, filter and air routing need space in the base cabinet and in the plinth area. The exhaust or recirculated air is routed through the carcass via ducts.
Important for planning: Due to the additional technology, pull-outs are often reduced in depth depending on the appliance type. In many plans, around 40 cm of usable depth then remains. The decisive factor is always the specific appliance.
Nobilia Xtra Hob & Bora downdraft cooktops
Planning with a downdraft extractor? Then it’s worth taking a look at nobilia Xtra Hob and BORA cooktops. Both stand for cooktops with integrated downdraft extraction. Vapors are captured directly at the pot. This keeps the view clear and saves you from needing a classic hood above the cooktop.

How good is the quality?
Are you wondering how sturdy the pull-outs are, why the doors close quietly and how durable the fronts are? We'll explain how to recognise Nobilia quality.

Base construction for cooktop base cabinets
Under the cooktop, the right base construction determines comfort and safety. Depending on the type of cooktop, a spacer shelf or a construction shelf ensures that storage space, ventilation and heat protection work together. This keeps drawers and pull-outs underneath reliably usable.
Nobilia spacer shelf for induction cooktops
A spacer shelf makes sense if you want to use a drawer directly beneath the induction cooktop. It creates the necessary distance to the underside of the cooktop, supports air intake and exhaust, and acts as touch protection. This keeps the drawer practical for everyday use, and the contents are better protected from heat build-up.
Tip: With DBKI or KKB, a standard Nobilia base cabinet can be configured as a cooktop base cabinet.

Construction shelf in Nobilia cooktop base cabinets
For glass ceramic and electric cooktops without induction, Nobilia uses a construction shelf (KKB) depending on the cabinet type. It separates the cooktop area from the storage space and acts as heat protection. This keeps the drawer or pull-out under the ceramic hob reliably usable without unnecessary heat being released into the interior.
Important for planning autonomous cooktops: The intake and exhaust air paths specified in the data sheet must remain unobstructed. Depending on the appliance, this is done via front or plinth ventilation or via openings in the back panel. If the cooktop is positioned above drawers or pull-outs, the drawer height and appliance installation height should also be checked to avoid collisions.
