Nobilia corner base cabinets for kitchens

The planning dimension (also called installation dimension) describes the actual space a cabinet needs in the corner – including carcass, front, and filler piece/angle. It is calculated from carcass length + door width + filler piece/angle.

For right-angled half-corner cabinets, the cabinet is adapted to the walls via the planning dimension as follows:

• Depth (variable from 63 to 75 cm): Short leg length up to the adjoining cabinet.

• Length (variable from 103 to 135 cm): Long leg length along the other wall.

Planning example: The UED100-60 (corner base cabinet for kitchen with 100 x 60 cm) requires at least 65 cm on the short side and at least 125 cm on the long side. Only then can the door open freely and the cabinet be cleanly integrated.

Note: Use the short leg length to compensate for uneven walls, pipe recesses, or thick tile backsplashes.

The diagonal corner cabinet is the simple solution if you really want to use the kitchen corner. The diagonal front opens the storage space wide. This lets you reach pots and supplies much more directly than with a classic dead corner.

The front line runs cleanly around the corner. On the left and right, it creates a calm transition. This makes the corner appear less angular.

The shelves can hold up to 50 kg per square meter. That corresponds to 80 dinner plates.

The corner base cabinet with shelf is the solid basic option if you simply want to use the corner as storage space. No mechanism. Ideal for things you don’t need every day.

• The shelves are designed for everyday use. Up to 50 kg per m² is possible. That corresponds to more than 80 dinner plates.

• All-metal shelf supports with safety pins ensure secure support. The shelves can be adjusted in height.

• Inside, the carcass is melamine resin coated and therefore easy to care for.

Corner cabinets with wooden turntables are a straightforward solution if you want to store pots, pans, and bowls in the corner but do not need elaborate mechanics. Behind the door are two rotating half-circle shelves with metal railing. You rotate the contents to the front, get a better overview, and put things away or take them out more quickly. At nobilia, each shelf is designed for a load capacity of 15 kg.

With a worktop over the corner base cabinet, the corner becomes a real work surface. You get a continuous line across the 90° corner and can use the area for prep, placing items, and working.

Always plan the worktop according to your room layout. The key factors are the corner joint, the correct depth in the corner, and clean cut-outs if the sink or cooktop is nearby.

Visually, you can keep the corner calm if the worktop and fronts are close in look. Or you can deliberately create contrast so the worktop visibly structures the kitchen.

The damping is integrated directly into the hinge. You only need to close the door lightly. Shortly before the end position, the hinge slows it down and gently pulls the door into the carcass. That means no slamming, and the front stays neatly aligned in the gap.

In addition, plastic buffers on the inside of the door cushion the contact. This reduces noise and protects edges and fronts in everyday use.

When opening, you benefit from the wide opening angle. Nobilia hinged doors come standard with 110° angle hinges. Some corner cabinet models are fitted with 165° hinges. This gives you comfortable access right into the cabinet corners.
