Certified management system
Our quality management system according to ISO 9001, the environmental management system according to ISO 14001, and the energy management system according to ISO 50001 are regularly audited and certified by TÜV Rheinland / LGA InterCert. ISO 9001 defines the requirements for a quality management system in order to meet customer requirements as well as further requirements regarding product quality. The seal stands for well-thought-out workflows that are specifically optimized for the development and manufacture of kitchens as well as their distribution. ISO 14001 for environmental management systems serves to improve a company’s environmental performance. With the energy management standard ISO 50001, companies can continuously improve their energy efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
GS mark Tested Safety
This certificate is awarded by LGA Nuremberg. LGA is part of the TÜV Rheinland Group and is Europe’s largest and most important furniture testing organization. The GS mark for tested safety is a voluntary safety label that is recognized far beyond Germany’s borders. In the field of consumer and occupational safety, it guarantees that the safety requirements are met and tested and regularly monitored by an independent body such as LGA. LGA product certificates for furniture, furniture components, components, and accessories are a distinguishing feature of tested and monitored quality and product safety.
RKT recycling certificate
In Germany, nobilia participates in the take-back and recycling system of the company RKT – Recycling Kontor Transportverpackungen. This ensures that the packaging is collected, recorded, and recycled in accordance with the Packaging Act.
Deutschland Test product quality
Sustainability is a top priority at nobilia. This also applies to greenhouse gas emissions. Here, it is especially important to take responsibility together with other manufacturers for what today’s generations owe to their descendants and the environment. In 2016, DGM launched the “Climate Pact for the Furniture Industry,” and nobilia is a committed member. To ensure that the CO2 footprint is gradually reduced and ideally neutralized, nobilia considers it important to take on a pioneering role, make this topic public, and raise awareness among the public.
DGM emission class
nobilia kitchen furniture has been awarded the highest emission class A in accordance with the award criteria for the emission label of the Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel e.V. The RAL emission label informs consumers about pollutant emissions and protects them from health impairments.
"Furniture made in Germany"
Since August 1, 2020, end consumers have found a new label in stores that provides information about the quality of furniture: the geographic indication of origin according to RAL-RG 0191 “Furniture Made in Germany” identifies furniture from Germany that meets the demonstrably strictly defined criteria. For this, it must be proven that the design, assembly, and quality inspection of the furniture take place in Germany. With the "Made in Germany" label as well, nobilia is once again among the first kitchen furniture manufacturers to be awarded the new label.
PEFC / 04-31-1281
Since July 2009, nobilia has been certified as the first kitchen manufacturer according to PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes). This documents nobilia’s commitment to a livable environment as well as responsibility in handling the valuable raw material wood. The processed wood-based materials come from sustainably managed forests and controlled sources. Forest certification guarantees that the wood products you buy are not of dubious origin or from overexploitation, but come from near-natural managed forests.
By purchasing a PEFC-certified nobilia kitchen, the buyer demonstrates a sense of responsibility for our environment.
TSCA Title VI compliant / CARB2
nobilia uses exclusively wood-based materials for the manufacture of kitchen furniture that comply with the strict U.S. EPA formaldehyde emission standard of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA Title VI). This means the company meets the American requirements in force since June 1, 2018 for the further reduction of formaldehyde emissions from wood-based materials. The limit values of TSCA Title VI correspond to those of the Californian CARB2 (California Air Resources Board) standard. The furniture is labeled with the information “TSCA Title VI compliant.”
Blue Angel
In July 2012, the company became the first kitchen furniture manufacturer to be awarded the environmental label “The Blue Angel.” This label from the Federal Environment Ministry promotes the concerns of environmental and health protection as well as consumer protection. Products and services are awarded that are particularly environmentally friendly in a holistic assessment and at the same time meet high standards of occupational and health protection as well as usability. “The Blue Angel” was awarded for the following programs: 253, 312, 317, 351, 371, 382, 406, 526, 545, 555, 566, 615, 648, 706, 808, 917, 977 and 985.
DGM Climate Pact
All postal and parcel shipping is handled via the CO2-neutral GOGREEN services of Deutsche Post and DHL. In this way, nobilia offsets the CO2 emissions caused by transport. The offset is certified according to ISO 14064 by an independent certification company (Societé Général de Surveillance, SGS).
