Nobilia frame elements

Nobilia frame elements are slim supplementary elements for base, tall, and wall cabinets. Especially in freestanding kitchen islands or open kitchen runs, they ensure that the back of the kitchen looks high-quality and harmonious. They create a flat, elegant rear side that appears like a slim cabinet while also saving space. Unlike side panels, which form lateral end finishes, frame elements serve the aesthetic design and integration of open kitchen backs.

Frame elements create a harmonious front appearance by precisely continuing lines and grid layouts. They provide a visual finish for open kitchen backs and appear lighter than full-depth side panels. This keeps islands and runs proportional and elegant. In addition, they allow discreet cable routing and optional integration of LED lighting.

A frame element is used to continue the front and maintain line alignment. A side panel is a full-depth lateral finishing element. Frame elements are flat and shape rear sides, while side panels frame cabinets laterally and support worktops.

Frame elements for base cabinets have a carcass depth of 11 cm and are available in widths of 30–60 cm as well as heights of 72 cm, 79.6 cm, and 86.4 cm. They complement the front lines in the lower area and are optionally available with a continuous door or a pinned door.

Frame elements for tall cabinets follow the fixed Nobilia height classes (201.6 / 208.8 / 216.0 / 223.2 cm) and are available in widths of 30–60 cm. As an XL frame element (-X), they match XL-planned kitchens. The pinned door ensures that the kitchen's grid lines continue exactly.

Frame elements for wall cabinets are 11 cm deep, available in heights from 57.6–86.4 cm, and have no back panel. They are used to continue height and grid alignment in the wall cabinet area and are ideal for open runs or wall cabinet end finishes.

Frame elements are available in fixed defined widths, heights, and always with a carcass depth of 11 cm. The dimensions cannot be changed and follow the Nobilia grid system.

Frame elements offer fixed dimensions and defined front divisions. Changes to width, height, or segmentation are not possible.

For a secure construction, frame elements are always screwed to adjacent cabinets – they cannot be planned as freestanding units.

Lighting for frame elements in the base cabinet area

For frame elements in the base cabinet area, the Detroit LED interior light is available. It features an aluminum housing, a satin-finished Plexiglas cover, and an integrated sensor switch. The lighting provides subtle illumination of open areas and creates targeted accents in the lower kitchen area.

Cable management for wall cabinet frame elements: cable box

For frame elements in the wall cabinet area, a cable box made of slate-gray plastic can be used. It offers space for converters and connection cables and ensures neat, concealed cable routing. Thanks to its compact size, it is especially suitable for wall cabinets from approx. 45 cm width.
